Transsexualism

The name of a diagnosis in the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (currently in force), within the category of mental disorders, which is usually assigned to transgender people who require medical interventions to carry out a gender transition. The term is pathologizing and is not recommended for use outside formal medical contexts.
