Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the NGO “Insight” (the “Organization”, “we”) collects on this website, why we process it, who we may share it with, and what rights you have. By using the website, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
Who is responsible for your data
The owner and controller of personal data is the NGO “Insight” — a Ukrainian human rights organization that brings together LGBTQI+ people and provides psychological, legal and resource support. For any questions about personal data, write to us at [email protected].
What data we process
Data you provide yourself
When you fill out forms on the website (a support request, training sign-up, job application and so on), we receive only what you provide yourself: your name, contact details (email and/or phone), the text of your request, and files if you attach them. No field is collected covertly.
AI assistant data
The website runs an AI assistant (text and voice chat). The text of your messages and, in voice mode, audio are processed by third-party artificial intelligence providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic) solely to generate a response. The assistant does not ask for or collect your contact details. We recommend not entering sensitive personal information into the chat (full name, address, documents, medical data). Conversation history may be stored to improve the assistant.
Technical data
When you visit the website, standard technical data is recorded automatically: IP address, browser and device type, language, pages viewed. Approximate detection of your country or city by IP address happens locally on our server (without passing your address to third-party geo services) and is used only for the correct operation of the website.
Why we process data
- to respond to your request and provide the support you are asking for;
- to keep the website services working (forms, chat, language selection);
- to protect the website from abuse and technical attacks;
- for anonymized visit statistics that do not identify you.
We process data on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting a form or using the chat, and to carry out the Organization’s statutory activities.
Who we may share data with
We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. Only the services that keep the website running may access data, to the extent necessary:
- the hosting provider on whose servers the website runs;
- message delivery services for the team — email, SMS, Telegram (form submissions reach the Organization’s responsible people through these channels);
- Google (Google Workspace sheets and drive) — if a particular form is set up to store submissions in the Organization’s protected work sheets;
- artificial intelligence providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) — only the content of chat messages, to generate a response.
We may disclose data if the law directly requires it — on the basis of a properly issued request from an authorized body.
Cookies
The website uses only functional cookies: they remember your chosen language, the fact that you accepted the cookie banner, and technical session settings. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings — the website will keep working, but some conveniences (such as your saved language) will disappear.
Donations and payments
Donations are processed by external payment services (including WayForPay) on their secure pages. Your payment card details never reach our website and are not stored by us.
How long we keep data
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to process them and provide support, or until you ask us to delete them. Technical logs are kept for the limited time needed for website security.
How we protect data
The website works over a secure connection (HTTPS). Only authorized team members have access to submissions. Sensitive technical settings are stored encrypted. At the same time, no method of transmitting data over the internet can be guaranteed one hundred percent secure — please keep this in mind when sending information.
Your rights
Under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” you have the right to:
- know what data of yours we process and get access to it;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of data if there is no legal basis for keeping it;
- withdraw your consent to processing at any time;
- file a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or go to court.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Links to other websites
The website contains links to external resources (media, partner organizations, payment services). Before you follow an external link, the website shows an interstitial warning page. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their privacy policies — we recommend reviewing them separately.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the website’s functionality or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.
