About us
Insight is a Ukrainian NGO whose core values are equality, feminism, freedom, inclusivity and diversity for all social groups.
Our team works to advance and protect the rights of LGBTQI+ people and provide them with resource support, and to promote the ideas of feminism and gender equality.
We work for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer people and allies who share our views and strive for a truly democratic and tolerant society.
Insight NGO has been working in Kyiv since 2008, and since 2015 has supported and developed regional LGBTQI+ initiatives.
After the russian invasion of February 24, 2022, in addition to our core work we began providing humanitarian aid and opened temporary shelters for LGBTQI+ people in Lviv and Chernivtsi.
We are the only LGBTQI+ organization that:
- partners with a reproductive clinic,
- provides continuous comprehensive support to the trans community (medical, psychological and legal),
- cooperates with a psychiatric department
- helps intersex people (legal consultations, psychological counseling, legal representation).
Our goals:
- Helping LGBTQI+ people
- Supporting initiative groups and individual activists
- Running information and education programs for professionals in various fields
- Implementing a range of programs to meet the needs of our target groups.
