Gender transition

The process of changing a person’s sex and gender characteristics, usually with the aim of bringing them into a state that better aligns with their gender identity. It may include changing gender expression, gender role, legal gender recognition, and medical interventions to alter sex characteristics by hormonal, surgical, or other means.
