Transsexuality

An outdated term for being transgender, originating in medical discourse, where it is associated with the diagnosis of “transsexualism.” It may sometimes be used to refer to those cases of being transgender in which a person carries out or seeks to carry out a gender transition in such a way as to fit as fully as possible into the gender binary system; a person to whom this applies.
