Sexual identity

A person’s self-definition based on their perception of sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction to people of a particular sex or gender and/or a sense of belonging to a group of people united by such attraction (gay men, lesbians, etc.). Sexual identity does not necessarily coincide with sexual orientation.
