Depathologization

A movement aimed at recognizing a particular phenomenon (for example, a non-heterosexual orientation, being transgender, or being intersex) as a normal variation of human diversity rather than a disease — in particular, at removing diagnoses associated with that phenomenon from pathological medical categories.
