Lecture 1. “Stress as it is. How does chronic tension affect the mind and the body?”

? How can you tell that you are in a state of chronic stress? (psychological and physiological signs)
? How does adaptive stress differ from destructive stress?
? How can you recognize your triggers and your patterns of stress reactions?
? Practice: a technique for sensing your own stress level + the “body scan” technique.

This series will help the LGBTQI+ community in different regions understand their stress, find ways to recover, and build a support system of their own.

? Format: a space to share thoughts and experience and to support one another
? The trainer’s involvement:
- She answers questions and supports participants between lectures.
- She helps moderate discussions and keep the atmosphere safe.
- She shares extra materials, articles, and videos.
? How long the chat runs: the whole course + 2 more weeks after the series ends, so that participants can talk through bringing their new skills into their lives.
