Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)

A medical intervention that is often part of gender transition. It aims to change the levels of sex hormones in a person’s body, which leads to a corresponding change in their secondary sex characteristics, usually bringing them into a state that better aligns with the person’s gender identity.
