Safety at peaceful assemblies

28.10.2021 Campaigns

We run trainings on “Safety during peaceful assemblies” for:

  • civic activists
  • human rights defenders
  • people from the LGBTQI+ community and LGBTQI+-friendly people
  • anyone for whom the topic of the training is relevant.

Our trainings are useful not only for those who plan to organize peaceful assemblies, but also for everyone who wants to know their rights during public events and to have a concrete step-by-step guide to keeping themselves safe.

Over the course of the training, participants will learn:

  1. on what grounds participants of a peaceful assembly can be detained;
  2. the “pitfalls” of organizing a peaceful assembly;
  3. what to do if you are attacked (or threatened with an attack);
  4. the legality of personal searches and inspections.

The program includes work on real cases!
