Project completed: results of the work to protect women from gender-based violence

10.09.2026 News
NGO “Insight” is concluding the project “Expanding Access to Psychological and Legal Support, and Strengthening Legal Protection Mechanisms for Survivors of GBV and CRSV in Ukraine,” implemented with the support of UN Women Ukraine and the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) — a partnership between the UN and civil society.

Over the course of 11 months, we worked across several areas: providing free legal and psychological assistance to women who survived violence, supporting social workers, enhancing the qualifications of female lawyers, analyzing court practice in domestic violence cases, and developing the “Femkolo” community — a space for activists, psychologists, and lawyers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

  • The women who trusted us — for their courage to seek help;
  • The psychologists and lawyers on our team — for their professionalism and dedication, even under the most challenging conditions of war;
  • The attorneys and partner organizations — for working together to drive change in law enforcement and legal practice;
  • UN Women Ukraine and the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) — for their trust and support of this mission.
Although the project is ending, our work continues: the “Femkolo” community remains active, and the findings of our judicial practice research will continue to be used in advocacy work.

We believe that every woman deserves safety, support, and justice — and we will continue walking this path.

The project is implemented by NGO “Insight” with technical support from UN Women Ukraine and funded by the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a flexible and rapid financing mechanism that supports quality measures to enhance the capacity of local women in conflict prevention, crisis and emergency response, and framing key peacebuilding opportunities.
