Opportunity: A camp for LGBTQI+ activists from Insight NGO

Do you want to join the fight for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community, learn more about advocacy and working with the media, and meet like-minded people from other regions of Ukraine?  Then register for the training for LGBTQI+ activists from Insight!

When: August 19-23, 2024

Where: Somewhere with fresh air, good tea, and comfortable conditions for learning and rest.

At the camp you will: 

• Learn how to effectively defend the rights of the LGBTQI+ community 
• Learn how to attract donors for your own initiatives and how to write project proposals
• Understand how to work with social media and the press and how to counter disinformation 
• Gain skills in psychological self-help, conflict management, and stress relief 
• Meet like-minded people from all corners of the country

Participants will be selected against several criteria:

• Motivation – you want to grow in activism and in advocacy for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community
• Experience – previous experience in activism or volunteering will be a big plus.
• Readiness to cooperate – openness to new people and ideas matters, as does a readiness to work in a team and build joint projects.

We are looking for activists who are ready not only to learn, but also to share their experience and support others in their ideas.
