Conversion therapy

A collective term for pseudoscientific practices aimed at changing a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression in order to bring it into line with the norms of heterosexuality and/or being cisgender. In the modern scientific and medical community, such practices are recognized as harmful and inhumane.
