Ahead of March 8, a series of posters in support of the women of Ukraine appeared on the streets of Kyiv and in the Kyiv metro
The media campaign “Unbreakable Women of Ukraine” was launched by the WOMEN’S MARCH initiative, whose goal is to give visibility to women’s contribution to the fight for victory.

Every year on March 8, in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine there were marches and actions aimed at protecting women’s rights and strengthening women’s visibility. This year we cannot take to the streets of the cities, but we still have something to say. It is 2023, a full-scale war is going on in the country, and the whole country is putting in all its effort to bring victory closer. With this campaign we want to support the women of Ukraine and give visibility to their contribution, because women very often downplay and devalue their efforts, believing that they are not doing enough.
The media campaign “Unbreakable Women of Ukraine” is a series of interviews and posters featuring women from various fields and industries, each of whom contributes to our shared victory right where she is.
Just like millions of women all across Ukraine!
The participants of the campaign include politicians, journalists, singers, servicewomen, public figures, women in blue-collar professions, volunteers, doctors, and others. Among them: Masha Yefrosynina, Yaroslava Kravchenko, Oleksandra Matviichuk, Yevheniia Melnyk, Emine Dzhaparova, and others.
The campaign started on the streets of Kyiv, on advertising surfaces, in the cars of the Kyiv metro, on the “Women’s March” social media and will run throughout March. Partner organizations in other cities of Ukraine are joining as well.
This media campaign is about every woman in Ukraine who brings victory closer. This media campaign is about the fact that every woman’s contribution is important and valuable, even if it seems that it is not enough.
Each woman does the impossible in the place where she can be of use: at the front, in volunteering, in reconstruction, in helping the most vulnerable, and more. It is important to notice this contribution and to leave no one underestimated and unnoticed. Each of us has lost too much: lives, children, loved ones, our homes, our health — but we have not lost the most valuable thing, our future, which we are fighting for.
A woman is not a “keeper of the hearth” — a woman is a hero who, every day, overcoming gender stereotypes, proves that she is an equal, strong, and independent person fighting for the future of her country. There is no place in this country for sexism, sexual violence, or domestic violence. We are building a different country, in which the core value is equality and respect for the individual. And each woman does everything she can to bring victory and this future closer. Right where she is.
