An Insight NGO project supported by UN Women in Ukraine and funded by the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund
Insight NGO is not only about protecting the rights of the LGBTQI+ community. We are a feminist organization that works every day to strengthen the rights, safety, and well-being of women and of everyone who faces discrimination, violence, or heightened risks during the war.
Our approach is comprehensive, and we work in several key areas.
Psychological support
We provide access to individual counseling. It is a chance to talk through what you have lived through in a safe space, restore emotional balance, and find more resilient ways of dealing with everyday challenges.
Legal assistance
Our lawyers help people work through legal questions, support them in difficult life situations, advise them when rights are violated, and explain the available social protection mechanisms.
Research and advocacy
We study the barriers that vulnerable groups face in order to understand their needs better. Based on that research, we develop recommendations and strengthen advocacy at the local and national levels.
Information work
We share up-to-date information about available services, support opportunities, and useful resources – so that every person knows where they can turn and what they can count on.
For us, this work is about care, resilience, and recovery. It is about making sure women are not left alone with their challenges, but have a place where they will be believed, supported, and helped to find solutions.
The project is implemented by Insight NGO with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and funded by the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a flexible and rapid funding instrument that supports quality interventions to strengthen the capacity of local women to prevent conflict, respond to crises and emergencies, and seize key peacebuilding opportunities.
